ABOUT

I am a researcher-practitioner and a documentary storyteller, working as a Post-Doctoral Research Fellow at Te Herenga Waka | Victoria University of Wellington. I hold a PhD in Film with Human Geography (Dean’s List) from THW-VUW, where I produced a written thesis as well as a feature-length documentary film as my final research output. I was awarded a 3-year Marsden Fast-Start grant as a Principal Investigator at the end of 2022 for the Aotearoa Big Things research project.

I work in both academic and industry spaces, speak Croatian, English, Spanish (and learning Te reo Māori), and have lived in Croatia, Canada, and Honduras before moving to Aotearoa | New Zealand, where I currently live. Outside of work, I enjoy travelling, spending time outdoors, riding my motorbike, and being involved with community and arts initiatives.
